As the About section reviews, I have been in healthcare since 1999. Having worked in multiple roles in both very large and small organizations, I have come to realize a few things about myself. The first is that I seek out mission-driven organizations. I realized that a job cannot just be a job for me. To spend what amounts to a third of my time and life doing something, work has to mean something to me and ultimately work to make a meaningful impact.

The second is that I am the same in both my professional and personal life. This has served me well and not so well in the professional realm. My personality, mannerisms, and interactions tend to be the same. However, it does mean that I present with authenticity and genuineness. Again, this has served me well and not so well.

The third is that, and this ties into the first and second, that it is important to me to do a good job. Completing a professional job or project thoroughly and to the best of my abilities is personal. While not being a traditional Type A personality, my work will always be an A.
